The campsite in Maesbury Marsh, Central Canal is a wonderful little spot in a beautiful location. A canal runs along the side of the site and long boats were moored along the length of the towpath. The towpath also takes you right to the pub!
I arrived quite late in the day but the owners gave me a warm welcome along with a warm cuppa and a warm slice of freshly baked cake!
As you can see (below), the main building is a charming wooden construction. It's clearly pretty new and is in great condition. It houses the café and reception and also has accommodation on the first floor. Toilet and shower facilities are also located on the ground floor. With only one other camper there for the night, there was plenty of space. But boy was it a cold night!
"Located in the hamlet of Maesbury Marsh, deep in the beautiful border countryside straddling England and Wales, just a couple of miles from Oswestry. Look for the red roof, you can't miss us!"
