Today I ventured out on my first ever cycle in France and what a cracking day it was for such an experience. A little breezy on the exposed, high ground but gorgeous sunshine and some stunning views in this part of the world.
My first challenge was to make sure I remembered to set out on the correct side of the road! I handled that task with aplomb, the rest was all easy. I changed my rear cassette recently from 11/28 to 11/23, so am glad there are only hills here in this part of Normandy and not mountains. I was out and about for around three hours and cycled through Granville along part of the actual route I will cycle when I start my cycle tour in May. Granville 'centre ville' was closed off as there was a mardi gras parade taking place. We may all head to Granville by train on 'fat Tuesday' as there is something happening in celebration by all accounts.
Here are a few snaps from todays cycle :)
